About

"...one of the brightest lights of an encouraging crop of Bluff City bands in the post-pandemic landscape."

-Zachary Corsa for We Are Memphis Music link

After many years Out West, singer-songwriter/neuroscientist Chris Davenport moved to Memphis for his day job at St Jude and soon teamed up with local music mainstay Andrew Geraci as San Salida - a garage-folk band playing an unvarnished brand of rock inspired by artists such as Neil Young, The Men, and David Nance. The current lineup also includes Krista Wroten on keyboard and violin.

In the summer of 2019, San Salida joined forces with engineer Andrew McCalla and his storied Tascam 388. In 3 nights they recorded and mixed 10 songs. The resulting "pretty damn good" album is now available in digital and CD formats (maybe vinyl soon).
